Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger - 10 Plates 5"x12" 1 1/4"MPT 280,000 Btu

AB Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger has a lightweight and compact design that allows for easy installation and service.  When compared to other types, the advantage of this heat exchanger is that it features corrugated plates that produce a highly turbulent flow which allows for a true counter-current exchange. A counter-current flow is the most efficient way of exchanging heat between two fluids. Because of this, and due to the smaller size and reduced material content, Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers can be the most economical heat transfer choice.

FAQ and Support
How to clean your Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger:
Narrow channels in the heat exchanger allow for a strong and steady pressure. Because of the pressure strength, these heat exchangers naturally self-clean the buildup in the channels. However, in some conditions such as hard water at high temperatures, stubborn buildup and scaling can occur. In order to keep your heat exchanger running smoothly and optimally, it's recommended that you clean it out every so often to get rid of this buildup. There are a few ways to clean out a Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger: using a water jet (sold at hardware stores) can help loosen and remove buildup; for a different approach, you can use formic, citric, acetic, or any other organic acid that works with stainless steel/copper to get scaling off. You can also scrub at it with a brush, though be sure not to use carbon steel wool as it can scratch and leave deposits that can lead to corrosion. When cleaning your heat exchanger, make sure to wear gloves and goggles for protection against debris/cleaning solution splashing.
