Description
The WiseWater BL26C Series Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger features a lightweight and compact design for easy installation and maintenance. Constructed from 316L stainless steel plates and brazed with 99.9% copper, it delivers reliable and efficient heat transfer performance across a wide range of heating applications.
The corrugated plate design creates highly turbulent flow and enables true counter-current heat exchange, maximizing thermal efficiency while minimizing material usage and installation space. Compared with traditional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, brazed plate heat exchangers offer a more compact and economical heat transfer solution.

Installation Notes
- For maximum heat transfer efficiency, install the unit using a counter-current flow arrangement.
- Vertical mounting is recommended whenever possible.
- Threaded connections are recommended for liquid-to-liquid applications.
- Avoid excessive vibration, pressure pulsation, and rapid temperature changes.
- Support larger units properly during installation.
Freeze Protection
When operating near freezing conditions:
- Maintain continuous fluid circulation.
- Use a filter mesh of approximately 1 mm.
- Use glycol solutions (up to 50%) when freeze protection is required.
- Avoid operating the unit while circulation pumps are stopped.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The turbulent flow pattern inside the plate channels helps reduce fouling and scaling under normal operating conditions.
If cleaning is required:
- Use a water jet to remove loose deposits.
- Organic acids such as citric acid, formic acid, or acetic acid may be used to remove scale.
- Avoid carbon steel brushes or steel wool, which may damage the stainless steel surface and promote corrosion.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment when cleaning.

FAQ and Support
Tips for welding:
Put a damp cloth around the connection to protect it from excessive heating.
It's recommended to use TIG or MIG welding on this product. Internal oxidation should be prevented with a small nitrogen flow.
