Description

AB 30x30 water to air heat exchanger is designed for hydronic heating and cooling systems that require stable heat transfer performance in a compact coil configuration. It features 3 rows of 3/8" seamless copper tubes combined with high-density aluminum fins to improve thermal exchange efficiency in forced-air applications. The coil structure supports integration with boilers, outdoor wood furnaces, solar-assisted systems, air handlers, and other closed-loop water circulation systems.

Built with a galvanized steel housing and base-brazed contact points, the unit is designed to maintain structural stability under continuous operating conditions. The epoxy-coated aluminum fins help improve surface durability and resistance to wear in long-term heating and cooling environments.

With 1" copper ports for standard hydronic connections, the heat exchanger supports multiple installation methods including direct pipeline connection, welding, and clamp-based mounting depending on system layout requirements.

Efficient Water-to-Air Heat Transfer Design

The heat exchanger uses a combination of internally conductive copper tubing and closely spaced aluminum fins to support effective thermal transfer between water and airflow. The wavy fin structure increases surface contact area around the tubes, helping improve heat exchange efficiency during operation.

Copper Tube and Aluminum Fin Construction

The coil is manufactured with seamless copper tubes and aluminum fins to balance thermal conductivity and structural practicality. Copper tubing supports efficient fluid-side heat transfer, while the aluminum fins assist with rapid airflow-side temperature exchange.

Reinforced Steel Housing Structure

The outer housing is constructed from galvanized steel with base-brazed edges and contact points to improve rigidity during long-term operation. This construction helps the unit maintain stability in systems exposed to elevated temperature and pressure conditions.

Epoxy-Coated Fin Surface

The aluminum fins are treated with an epoxy coating to improve surface hardness and reduce wear over time. This additional coating layer may also help reduce exposure-related deterioration in demanding installation environments.

Flexible Installation Compatibility

The 1" copper ports allow compatibility with a range of hydronic system configurations. The unit can be installed using direct pipe connections, welded fittings, clamps, or adapter-based mounting methods depending on project requirements and available space.

Suitable for Multiple Hydronic Applications

This water to air heat exchanger can be used in residential and commercial heating or cooling systems, including outdoor wood furnace setups, boiler systems, hybrid heating applications, air handlers, and inverter cooling systems where water-based thermal transfer is required.

FAQ and Support
Tips for mounting Air to Water Heat Exchanger:
If your air system has an overheat sensor, be sure to install the Air to Water Heat Exchanger far enough away from it so that the heat from the exchanger won't interfere with the sensor's readings.
